Steps towards a PortraitSure
STEP 1: Explore the possibilities
Ask me whatever questions you may have, and find a suitable reference photo. For tips on selecting a good reference photo, click here. Feel free to share a few candidate photos with me by email and we can determine which may be the best choice. Contact me by email to PortraitSure.art@gmail.com.

STEP 2: Decide on options
-
Medium: Check these examples to help you decide whether you want a portrait in charcoal, water colour, coloured pencil, pastel, or ink. My portrait gallery also identifies which medium was used for each portrait.
-
I offer two framing options: wood panel or mat. You can choose between
-
an 8 in. x 10 in. portrait that is protected with fixative, and slipped into an 11 in. X 14 in. mat (black or white). Portrait will be ready for framing.
-
a 10 in. x 10 in. portrait that is protected with fixative and varnish and mounted on a birch panel that is 1.5 in. thick. Choose the colour of the panel edge (black, walnut brown, bleached white, grey, or natural). No additional framing is required.
-
See examples of these two options by clicking here.

STEP 3: Order your PortraitSure
Send me your reference photo by e-mail (portraitsure.art@gmail.com) and specify your choice of medium, choice of frame, and mailing address. I will send you an invoice for the commissioned portrait and ask for a $100 deposit. Payment can be made by e-transfer to portraitsure.art@gmail.com.

STEP 4: A PortraitSure is born
I will draw the portrait and send you a digital photo preview of the drawing (normally, within 2 weeks).

STEP 5: The Finish Line
Upon your acceptance, and payment of balance owing, I will apply fixative and frame or mat as requested, wait a few days for curing and ship to you within 5-7 days.

Note: Portrait can be shipped anywhere in Canada for $20 or picked up by client at a Westboro address in Ottawa.
